Who Said White Girls Don't Wear Hair Extensions?

I am always astounded when my Caucasian clients tell me it's more acceptable for African American women to wear hair extensions. They feel that other women in their culture are not accepting or don't talk openly about haircare, wigs, hair additions or hair extensions.  Some are even ashamed to let anyone know that they have extensions. Hair is hair. I don't care if the person the hair is growing from is white, black, blue, green, purple, brown, yellow, or red. The only thing that concerns me is texture. Is it straight, curly, fine, coarse, wavy or relaxed. The only other info I'm concerned with is if it is color treated, chemically altered or natural.  You can manipulate any head of hair once you identify the hair type and texture. It is not necessary to know the person's nationality or cultural background.

The world of beauty offers women so many options. Why deprive yourself when it come to your hair? If you need it weave it, if you don't have it buy it, wish you had it? then add it. A majority of celebrities wear wigs and hair extensions. Some out of necessity others purely for fashion. Hair extensions are becoming much more mainstream and a part of American culture. Having longer fuller hair can increase your self confidence and self esteem. So if you've always thought about getting hair extensions but perceived them to be fake, strange, weird, or unacceptable for your culture watch the video below. I hope it helps change your perception. Everyone deserves to have the hair they've always wanted. It's not a Black girl thing, it's a Beauty thing.

Why is My Hair Thinning?

Low Iron May Cause Hair Loss
One of the most important factors in preventing hair loss is adequate iron storage, which is called Ferritin. This helps to maximise hair growth, low levels will cause hair shedding. It may also be necessary to buy a vitamin B12 supplement and/or iron, but iron should be taken only if necessary after a blood test from your doctor. It is surprising how many young women have low iron deficiencies. It is estimated that up to 26% of menstruating women are iron deficient. Women of childbearing age and adolescent girls need to regularly replace the iron that is eliminated through monthly blood loss.

The signs and symptoms of iron deficiency include:
  • Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Pale skin
  • Dark circles under the eyes
  • Thinning hair and brittle nails
  • Shortness of breath
  • Cold hands and feet
If you have any of theses symptoms it is recommended that you see your doctor and have blood test done. You hair loss could simply be contributed to low iron levels in your body.

One supplement that comes highly recommended for iron deficiency is:

Hair Topper hair loss solution for women with fine thin hair

Gorgeous Strandz announces the launch of the Enchantop Hair Topper, a hair extensions product for women with thinning hair. According to the American Academy of Dermatology approximately 30 million women suffer from hair loss and 65% of women will have noticeable hair loss by age 60. The Enchantop is a hairpiece designed to provide coverage for women experiencing hair loss due to female pattern baldness. Once it is applied it gives the appearance that new hair is growing directly from the scalp.

The Enchantop is made of 100% Remy human hair. Each strand of hair is hand ventilated on an extra fine mono-filament base that virtually disappears into the scalp. It can be cut, colored, curled, flat-ironed and styled like natural hair. "No slip grip" clips attached at key points along the base create a secure attachment all day.

"There are several factors that attribute to hair loss which can be a traumatizing experience for women," says Brenda Waters celebrity hair stylist and president of Gorgeous Strandz. "I've had clients with tears in their eyes and completely devastated because of their hair loss. It affects their self confidence because when they lose their hair they feel like they've lost their identity. We created this product as an alternative to wearing wigs."

5 factors that cause hair loss in women:
• Hormonal changes
• Stress
• Autoimmune disorders
• Nutrition and vitamin deficiencies
• Allergic reactions to hair color or other chemicals

"Women should seek the advice of their doctor or dermatologist at the onset of hair loss," says Waters. Doctors will identify the root cause of the hair loss and prescribe the necessary re-growth regimen. While the hair is growing back the Enchantop gives non-damaging realist coverage for thinning hair in addition to a much needed confidence boost.

The Enchantop Hair Topper is available in Medium and Large. It comes in five shades: Off Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown, Toasted Meadow Blonde and Warm Wheat Blonde.
